<p>There are many different types of treatments that you can turn to in this day and age. You can<span id="more-19"></span> turn to programs, books, techniques and medication in order to cure those attacks you have been having. There are also some simple steps you will be able to follow to use in the convenience of your own home. </p>
<p>Before you implement the treatment on your own, you need to make sure you are having symptoms of a panic attack. Many get the feelings of an attack mixed up with a nervous breakdown or a heart attack. </p>
<p>First of all, you need to think positive thoughts. A panic attack is something that is all in your head (doctors will tell you this) and when you have negative thoughts, it will make it worse. Tell yourself that you can do it. Let yourself know that it is just an episode and you can get through it. </p>
<p>You should also tell yourself that it is harmless. It&#8217;s true, those panic attacks are not going to harm you at all. We know they are scary sensations, but there are going to pass and you aren&#8217;t going to die.</p>
<p>You should also learn some breathing exercises. One of those symptoms is shortness of breath. You need to learn those exercises and practice them before you go through an attack. Panic attacks treatment will help you out and it is something to look into if you suffer from this problem.</p>

<p><b>Fear of vomiting and panic attacks?</b>
<p>Basically I am looking for help on this and if anyone else has similar problems. When I was seven years old (I am now 18) both my sister and I had what we believed to be meningitis while we were on vacation. Honestly I don&#039;t remember much besides my head just pounding and throwing<span id="more-18"></span> up countless times. Ever since then I have developed an irrational fear of throwing up. Even if I have the littlest ache in my stomach I am always afraid it will lead to throwing up, even though i haven&#039;t thrown up since I was seven. I hate telling people of my fear, in fact I avoid it all together. I have been diagnosed with Panic Disorder so I have to deal with that as well. I can start to get so worried about throwing up that it leads to full panic attacks. I do everything in my power to not throw up, I take tons of antacids and even sometimes anti-nausea meds. I hold a heating pad on my stomach to try and supress the ache, eventually I can&#039;t sleep which only makes the situation worse. I start to shake and cry, hypovenalate, my heart races, and i get hot flashes. I feel like I am out of control and I just want to run far away from where ever I am. I can&#039;t continue to live like this so I decided I am going to start taking lexapro today (I was prescribed it before, but tried to avoid becoming dependent on medicine). My mom doesn&#039;t understand my fear, but neither do I. I just feel like no matter what my mind wont stop thinking about my fear of throwing up. I feel like throwing up is the worst thing that can happen to me its horrible. I feel like I am all alone and no one else has this stupid fear. I just want my life back, and a day with out a knot in my stomach and the fear like I am going to puke.</p>

<p><b>Are these typical panic attack symptoms?</b>

<p>I also have a pain somewhere in my back, and I feel very much &#8220;off in the distance&#8221;. I feel like I&#039;m going to drop any second, but I know that I won&#039;t.</p>

of the cart for support, and just use my legs to move myself about. I also noticed when I went to pick up a box of disposable plastic food containers, that my hands weren&#039;t opening, and I couldn&#039;t move them, so I used my wrists to pick up the light weight box. When I got home, some of it subsided, but I still feel very distant, and I&#039;m having to type in a strange way because of lack of strength. </p>
<p>I&#039;ve had panic attacks before, many times. However, I normally only get a tight, clamping feeling in my chest and I hyperventilate. </p>
<p>Do these sound like panic symptoms to you? <br />
If not, do you have any idea as to what&#039;s going on?<br />
I feel like there&#039;s something wrong with me.</p>

<p>I&#039;m not a depressed person, but I am 99% sure I suffer from anxiety problems.  A lot of the time it&#039;s manageable throughout the day, but when I&#039;m alone at night, especially before sleep, I find myself worrying about things I can&#039;t control and worrying whether or not people can tell, etc.  I&#039;ve had 2 panic attacks, and<span id="more-14"></span> yeah&#8230;I&#039;m pretty sure I have a problem.</p>
<p>I told my dad about it today, and he told me I need to sleep more.  I get about 6-7 hrs. of sleep a night and something in me doubts these things would go away if I slept more.  I know I should see a doctor but I&#039;m still a dependent through my parents and I don&#039;t think they believe or buy into anxiety problems.  I really feel as though I need to see a doctor though, it&#039;s getting really hard to deal with. </p>
<p>Suggestions?  Has anyone had similar problems?</p>
